Alaina Simone

Alaina Simone is a highly respected art consultant and artist liaison known for her deep commitment to contemporary art, artist advocacy, and educational programming. With a career spanning over a decade, she has collaborated with museums, cultural institutions, and artists to create thoughtful exhibitions and engaging panel discussions. Her curatorial work extends across the Caribbean, Europe, and the United States, where she has produced culturally rich programming that bridges fine art with community dialogue and learning. Simone brings a rare combination of commercial expertise and educational vision to every project she touches.

Since 2009, Simone has worked closely with a range of interdisciplinary artists including the trailblazing Howardena Pindell, optical artist Fred Eversley, and design visionary Barbara Nessim. Her role as an artist liaison also includes notable collaborations with the Estate of Arman, the Estate of Merton Simpson, the Estate of Allan Stone, and the Estate of James Van Der Zee.

In 2018, she co-founded Private View SoHo (PRVT VW), a nomadic gallery and artist residency based in New York City, in partnership with Madeleine Paternot of the Verbier 3-D Foundation. Through this platform, she continues to champion underrepresented voices in contemporary art while creating space for experimentation, dialogue, and cross-cultural exchange.

Simone’s curatorial projects and exhibitions have been featured in prestigious publications such as The New York Times, Art in America, Artforum, The New Yorker, and ARTnews.

In recognition of her creative leadership, she received the Innovators of Change Award from J. Walter Thompson Worldwide in 2013. She currently serves on the board of the Verbier 3-D Foundation and is an active ambassador for organizations like Cool Culture, Residency Unlimited, SculptureCenter, and the National Arts Club. Simone lives and works in New York City, where she continues to shape the future of contemporary art through education, advocacy, and curatorial innovation.
